Cambodian New Prime Minister Hun Manet will pay an official visit to China on this Thursday

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia announced on the 12th that Prime Minister Hun Manet will pay an official visit to China from the 14th to the 16th, during which he will witness the signing of a number of cooperation documents between the two countries. This is Hun Manet's first official visit after taking office as Prime Minister of Cambodia, which fully reflects the great importance Cambodia attaches to Cambodia-China relations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out on the 12th that during his visit to China, Prime Minister Hun Manet will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Congress Zhao Leji to discuss building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era and promoting "Diamond Six" cooperation. The two sides will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that Prime Minister Hun Manet will hold bilateral talks with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang and witness the signing of a few cooperation documents between the two countries. After concluding his official visit, Prime Minister Hun Manet will attend the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the opening of the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit from the 16th to the 17th.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia and the "China-Cambodia Friendship Year". Prime Minister Hun Manet's visit to China will help deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperation between Cambodia and China and benefit both countries and their peoples.
